It's almost time for Christmas! Our home, and our Pinterest account, is full of Christmas cheer, cookies and crafts. We're getting really excited as we count down the days until Dec. 25.

This time of year, there's nothing better than getting cozy with a cup of hot cocoa and a fun, seasonal DIY project. The problem with making Christmas DIY projects this close to Christmas is that you only get a few days of use before the holiday is over and you have to take it down.

Kristen Privett, of Kristen Privett Photography, has a beautiful DIY pinecone wreath to share with us today. Our favorite part: it's great for Christmas, but you'll be able to leave it up for awhile after the holiday. Perfect!

Kristen used green floral wire to attach the pinecones to a green wire wreath frame. She finished the project with a 5x10 Lucy in Metallic Taupe. The results are stunning!

"It took quite a while but the price was right! I like that making it myself allowed my boys to help make it by helping to collect pinecones," Kristen said.

We like that this beautiful piece of home decor is the result of some great family time.
